I love being a principal! It is a great opportunity to develop deep connections with staff, students and parents, as well as help students grow. I have 17 years of school and district office administration experience and worked as a school psychologist in many schools prior to that.

I joined Sopris Elementary as the Assistant Principal in 2017. Throughout my career I have been a classroom teacher (mainly grades 4-6), an instructional coach, a gifted and talented coordinator (grades PK-12) and a principal.
I decided to enter school administration so I could help good schools get even better. I enjoy working with staff to improve their craft and increase student learning. Another great thing about being a principal is that you get to know all the students in the school.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy being outdoors. Biking, hiking and camping are my favorites. I've also been fortunate enough to travel a lot throughout the world and I look forward to future ventures!
